Autophagy is an intracellular degradation pathway essential for maintaining cellular energy homeostasis, which is closely related to stress, infection, cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.In recent years, numerous studies have shown that autophagy plays an important role in the mechanism of cognitive dysfunction. Abnormal autophagy levels in neurons can disrupt cell homeostasis and, in severe cases, affect patients’ cognitive function.
